Description
- Measures 8"
- Made from stainless steel
- Handwashing recommended
- Can be used for a range of skimming tasks
Skimmers can be used for a wide range of tasks in the kitchen. Primarily, they are used to remove food ingredients, excess fluids, particles and other items from the surface of hot oil, boiling water, and foods being prepared. They can be used for skimming foam from soups and broths, removing fat from gravies and sauces, draining pasta and rice, and removing cooked food from hot oil.
This skimmer measures 8" with a 30 mesh gauze at the bottom, making it ideal for skimming finer food products and dishes. The ergonomic handle is easy to hold and manoeuvre, reducing strain for the cook when using the tool. The base of the skimmer and the mesh bottom allows for water to easily fall through, making it easy to remove whatever you need to.
Stainless steel is ideal for kitchenware utensils as its rust-resistant and stain-resistant. This is especially ideal for a skimmer which is constantly going to be used with hot food. Handwashing is recommended for this skimmer, due to the delicate mesh at the bottom of the tool. Simply wash with warm, soapy water and dry immediately after.
