- Designed for basting
- 24cm in length
Basting spoons are great for kitchens that regularly cook meat. Basting is a cooking method where you brush or pour liquid over the food, usually a whole or partial part of the meat. The point of basting is to avoid overcooking the meat at the bottom and to avoid undercooking it at the top.
Basting spoons are designed to easily scoop and pour the liquid and to baste the meat. This spoon measures 24cm in length. Basting spoons have longer handles to allow the cook to pour the liquid safely without worrying about splashback from the hot liquid.
There is a pre-drilled hole at the top of the handle, which is ideal for storing and hanging the spoon in places where storage space might be limited. Ensure the spoon is fully dried before using it again. Also ensure the spoon has cooled down before washing it, as basting spoons can become quite hot when in use.
This spoon is made from stainless steel, which is durable to last frequent use and washes, as would be expected in the hospitality industry. Stainless steel is rust-resistant and stain-resistant. It is also strong enough to last in high heat, which is a must-have for a basting spoon that would constantly be used in high-temperature liquid.
